PROCESS
  1. Start making the dough: melt the yeast in the warm water along with a tablespoon of sugar, add the milk and, once dissolved, add also the flour. Mix well so add the melted butter. Stir to combine and knead the dough.
  2. Place the dough into a bowl and cover. Let the dough rise in a warm area for about 2 hours.
  3. Lightly dust a surface with flour. Roll the dough into a rectangle.
  4. Spread the butter over the dough. Sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon. Let stand it in the fridge.
  5. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
  6. In a large skillet add the sugar and as soon as it begins to gold add also the butter and stir well. Add the apples and stir constantly for fifteen minutes or until they are nearly caramelized.
  7. Let them cool a few minutes and pour the apples with caramel sauce on the rectangle dough.
  8. Roll the dough into a log so cut the apple cinnamon rolls. Place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven to 200° C for twenty minutes.
  10. Meanwhile, make the frosting by beat together the cream cheese, milk and powdered sugar. Spread the frosting on warm rolls and enjoy!
