Happiness is home

by Sara Cartelli

Happiness is to miss a place that warms your heart.
Happiness is to have someone waiting for you.
Happiness is listening to music on the couch while reading a book.
Happiness is watering a plant and watching it grow.
Happiness is cooking a simple dish of pasta for someone you love.

Happiness is home.
Our home, the one in which we’re born, or that we’ve built for ourselves.

To inaugurate the month of happiness I chose the house of Marloes and Robert, situated in Enschede, the Netherlands. I chose it because it’s bright, colourful, personal, and rich  in recycled and vintage furniture. I chose it because no one could ever imagine that this house, before, was a dilapidated dormitory. Overall, everything infuse harmony and serenity.

I feel happy and I hope you’re happy too. I hope that your homes today, and in the days to come, will give you something great. Meanwhile, enjoy that of Marloes and Robert and might even steal some ideas. I love the dishes on the wall and even the grill / moodboard placed in front of the desk.
