Culture. Eat it
17 May 2017
Ignorant fairies are people that we meet and don’t recognize, but change our lives. F. Ozpetek.
The beautiful thing about culture is that you can’t forget it. Culture is standing there, waiting for you to go find it. The Ignorant Fairies is a 2001 movie, but even if it’s been sixteen years it looks good. Because culture is also timeless, far from fashion, trend, or Google trend.
Culture does not mean market logic.
That’s why we chose Ferzan Ozpetek and his Ignorant Fairies.
There are a million reasons to love this director, but one of these is certainly his genuinity, his transportation. His life is always in his films. He is inside his movies. So his kitchen, his neighborhood, the terrace in which he loves to eat and spend time with friends, are part of the environment in which the stories unfold and take shape.
And that’s exactly the famous Ignorant Fairies terrace made me think about how close the summer is and how nice it would be to sit outside, alone or in company, to have a cup of coffee, eat or read a book. I say “it would be” because it has been raining for weeks and my terrace is a complete disaster.

So what better time than this to batten down the hatches arranging the terrace, balcony or porch of home?
There is very little to do to change the face of a terrace and make it comfortable.
First you have to study the spaces and understand what you want: do you prefer a nice lunch table or a relax area with sofas? If you are undecided and do not want to give up any of the two options you can opt for benches with pillows accompanied by an high table, as in this picture.
Once the furniture is set you will have to go to the styling. With a few tricks you can make your space warm and cozy, changing totally its face.
Here are the elements that make the difference:
o1. flowers and plants
o2. candles
o3. lamps
o4. pillows and blankets
1 – 2
o5. tents
I hope this little gallery / moodboard can be inspired for you as it was for me.
Have a good reorganization!
