Living with less, living minimal. The apartment of two musicians in Valencia.
She is a pianist, he is a guitarist, both singers. Laura and Roberto are a couple both in music and in life. Together they form the Uke and, in addition to being a band, they own the Sebastian Melmoth, a shop located in the heart of Valencia that collects wonderful creations made by artisans and creative.
Design, taste and originality are the things that characterize their life and their home, which is located on the floor above the store.
Here the imperative is “Less is more”.
The furnishings are few, indeed very few, there is only the bare essential: a comfortable bed, a large sofa, a small kitchen without frills and a bright studio in which compose music.
Vintage elements and pieces of art and antiques are the undisputed protagonists of this apartment. Dosed to perfection, they characterize it with personality, without weighing it down.
I am a person who is not inclined to minimalism, but I love the extreme simplicity of this house. It is a characteristic that makes it special, out of the ordinary. I believe that living with less, especially in this historical period in which “to possess” anything seems become a necessity of life, is extremely admirable. And I say this because I can not imagine myself in this home. I would go crazy thought of not being able to take with me what I want or have to forcefully throw away some things.
Although a good deal of decluttering would do me good. Definitely, would do me good.
