Semplicity. Imperfection. These two words often recall negative images in our minds. Frequently simply means ordinary. If it’s imperfect it’s rejected. Simple and imperfect are never synonyms of beauty. No, but they can be a part. There’s something simple and imperfect at the same time that can be defined as “beautiful.” Michal German ceramics, for example. A combination of naturalness and elegance, harmonic forms and sinuous shapes.
Free Folding is her brand name, as well as her laboratory, where she works and paints the clay turning it into home accessories. A passionate master weaver of a ductile, changing and magic material that allows her to experiment constantly. Mugs, cups, vases, bowls, dishes, fruit bowls: there are so many wonderful Michal German creations, and all these are available in her Etsy shop.
I pretend not to have said it, but yes, there’s an Etsy shop of Free Folding and ship worldwide! I mark my favorite items on my wishlist, and meanwhile I stay here, enchanted, admiring the beauty of imperfect things, created with passion.
