Culture. Eat it
9 December 2015
My love for Christmas.
It’s big. There is room for everyone: parents, relatives, friends, grandchildren acquired, acquaintances …
It’s small. It doesn’t want demonstrations of sensational affection but it’s felt with familiar simple acts that, believe me, can surprise if they come from those we love the most.
It’s attention. I speak of the attention that turns into caring for others. Pleased to receive a message for no particular reason. Called a friend, although we are always on call, because that’s not what matters but how we feel at the end of that phone call.
It’s free. It doesn’t necessarily expect something in return. It’s its specialty to show that you can try more satisfaction to give gifts than to receive.
It’s a gift. Whether donated time or material object, its secret lies in that expectation, in thought devoted to another that generates a gift to put under the tree.
Thus it was born the desire to deliver a short list of books.
This week it’s time for romantic friends. With approximately EUR 10.00 you can pack up a story that smells of love.
