The cartoon “Exploring the human body” was for all Italian 90’s lovers the reference point for the discovery of human anatomy.
If you do not know it, you could not understand the nostalgic memory experienced leafing through the fantastic book illustrated by Hélène Druvert with the collaboration of Jean-Claude Druvert: ANATOMY. Sections and animations to observe the body closely.
Anatomy is a journey to discover the human body accomplished with sophistication and effectiveness dedicated to children aged from 8 to 100 years.
One of a kind, this masterpiece book was created by the French illustrator with the help of her father, a doctor who wrote precise texts for her, but accessible to everyone.
48 pages, some of which with laser cuts, lead you into a body with pastel shades. Gently opening the windows, you’ll discover the muscles, the various apparatuses, the nervous system, the brain, the skeleton and the five senses.
The setting chosen by the author recalls the anatomical tables of the Nineteenth century. Double pages show, most of the time, on the left the text and on the right the reference illustration.
Hélène Druvert is a paper designer: with the paper cut art she creates magic books like this, actually presented as an illustrated handbook of Anatomy created by elegant and skilled hands.
Don’t miss it. Handle it with care and you will not regret it.
