Culture. Eat it

I love Halloween. I love the atmosphere, the children who come knocking on the door asking “Trick or Treat” and I love dinners with my friends. This year, for the occasion, I decided to create a romantic centerpiece easy to create.
All you need are:
- Two pumpkins;
- Two jars;
- Flowers as needed.
An “Elementary Watson” task, which brings to the table all the beauty and colors of autumn. That’s what I did: I chose two pumpkins, one edible and a decorative one, I carved them, put a jar of water inside and then I created a flower arrangement each. The content of the green pumpkin, the edible, obviously was not wasted but has been used for a tasty velvety, of which very short we will propose the recipe.
For the flowers, my choice fell on:
- Santini Chrysanthemum
- Small Gerberas;
- Sunflowers;
- Ipericum;
- Lisiantus.
Green pumpkin was composed with Santini and small gerberas, whereas the orange with Sunflowers, Ipericum, Lisiantus and some small Gerberas. Of course the choice of the flowers is not binding, you can pick your favorite ones, the only important thing is to create a harmonious set, but surely your florist can help you out.
And here is my centerpiece at work. I personally love it, I find it both vibrant and elegant. It does not create “terror” but it is certainly suitable for a dinner with adults or as a decoration for the house. What do you think?
