WHEN EVERYTHING FALLS INTO PLACE: STUDIONAT

by Sara Cartelli

I always thought a passion could not give birth to another one. Incorrectly. Because all roads always cross other roads. This belief was deep-rooted in me until few years ago, but then, thanks to this blog, I discovered stories of life and extraordinary talent, which helped me to open my eyes. Just like the story I want to present today about Natalija Ristic and her project, STUDIONAT.

The name STUDIONAT owns a collection of accessories such as necklaces, earrings and brooches, all designed and handmade by Natalija. Who, yes, is an artisan but first and foremost an architect. Two strong passions for her, that might seem quite distinct, but actually found a connection in her work. Everything comes from her own experiences in various architectural studios and laboratories of modeling, that gave her the opportunity to develop her collection. An elegant and minimal collection skillfully worked, characterized by geometric shapes and the combined use of different materials, such as wood, fabric and leather.

I love the creations of Natalija, I find them extremely elegant in their simplicity and I love her story. A story that teaches us to always keep our eyes open, because what we do every day could open up new possibilities, new opportunities. We need only to remove blinkers from our eyes.
